Yes, that is Fetchbeer dancing on the moon with a helicopter.  Yes, that is a can-can line being led by Celestia.  Yes, that is a classy Gray, a Pinkie Pie Dalek, and Starswirl the Bearded at a buffet.  Yes, that is a female Fetchbeer riding a moonseapony.  Yes, Angel Bunny is knife-fighting a headcrab.  Yes, Arcum is being super-hipster about being a Cutie Mark Crusader with the CMC.  Yes, that is NyanDash.  Yes, those are TIE Fighters, an X-Wing, and the Death Star.

In a word, this is simultaneously the dumbest and awesomest thing I have ever done.

So here is another openCanvas that I did with Lunarapologist! He is a really awesome artist and a great friend! You should really check out his work.

(Also a side note, I completely forgot to say that BeechSprout was my openCanvas partner last time. Oops… sorry man. It completely slipped my mind to credit you. He is another great artists who is learning a lot in such a short time. Its kinda crazy how much he has grown.)

Hey, it’s some of my crap!

That zombie-pony gets better the more I look at it, though.  Maybe I should sketch grimdark more often.

From IRC silliness.  I was told that I was handed a tiny hat, then told to put it on my horn, and then TINY HATS EVERYWHERE.

Because I always felt like a self-indulgent wanker when I was ponysona ask-blogging.

So, I’ll try and just put sketches and doodles and whatever up here instead; give me a reason to do those.  Not sure if I’ll get rid of the old stuff or not, so it stays for now.

Oh!  I see where you’re coming from - it’s quite a common notion!

It is a bit of a misconception, though.

Now, I’m no expert, and all the details have been kept very quiet (Which has only made this sort of misunderstanding easier to make, in my opinion!  I laid out in my letter to the Palace how it would be better to run an awareness campaign, get the Princess out for public appearances… oh, sorry, I’m rambling :( ).

Anyhow!  From what I understand, yes, Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon were the same pony - in a sense.  I gather Nightmare Moon was some sort of magical construct that consumed Princess Luna, and was rightfully banished to become the Mare in the Moon.  After her return, though, Princess Luna was restored as herself with the help of Princess Celestia’s student and her friends.

So, you’re both correct, and not!  Nightmare Moon was a very bad pony, but Princess Luna is, in a sense, not guilty of her crimes (though some argue that point!).  As such, I do fully support her claim as Princess of the Night!

Of course, even if Princess Luna was the same as Nightmare Moon, then your objection seems to be more about the efficacy of penal terms and the lack of possibility of rehabilitation, which is a different argument altogether!

And if your objection is to having another Princess automatically ushered into rule - well, I admit I have some difficulties with the theory of Divine Right of Princesses (and, in fact, support the idea of a more republican style of government!)  But, for now, at least, our government is benevolent, and works for the benefit of most ponies (albeit with more bureaucracy than I’d like, but I don’t think that would change, no matter what system we had in place). So, as it stands, Princess Luna is one of our rightful rulers under our current laws.

Also, personally, she’s a very nice pony.  Very, um… Understanding.  She paid attention to me, and clearly did her best to diffuse the situation and make me not feel like a complete foal.

(I… I still felt like I was going to die of shame, though.  I will never wear socks again :( )

They are actually quite rare, so far as I’ve seen - especially here in Canterlot!  There’s a lot of reliance on magic here, so not many ponies bother to get one.  Also, I think most ponies that do have one only get them because they need them for work!

The only reason I have access to one is because one of my old school friends is a professor over at the Canterlot Institute of Arcanotech, and she lets me come over and use hers sometimes. :)

(Don’t tell anypony, though!  I don’t know if she’s actually allowed to let me do that, and I don’t want to get her in trouble because of a silly tumblr account. :( )
